THE 1992 SEASON:

It is the dawn of a dynasty in Big D as the Cowboys rout the Buffalo Bills 52-17 in Super Bowl XXVII. The Bills win their third straight AFC Championship, but also fall short of capturing the Lombardi trophy for a third consecutive season. It is Brett Favre's first season as a starter in Green Bay. The exuberant gunslinger and first year coach Mike Holmgren instantly make the Packers (9-7) relevant again for the first time in years. League MVP Steve Young leads San Francisco to an NFL best 14-2 record, but the Niners fall at home to the Cowboys 20-30 in the NFC Championship.
