John Daly (1991)

1 win. 1 Major (PGA Championship). PGA Rookie of the Year.

Known primarily for his driving distance, Daly led the PGA Tour in that category 11 times from 1991 to 2002. In 1997, Daly became the first PGA Tour player to average more than 300 yards per drive over a full season. He did so again in every year from 1999 to 2008, and he was the only player to do so until 2003. Daly's non-country club appearance and swashbuckling attitude made him a fan favorite.

 

 

Ernie Els (2002)

A former World No. 1, Els is nicknamed "The Big Easy" due to his physical stature along with his fluid golf swing. Among his more than 70 career victories are four major championships. Els is one of six golfers to twice win both the U.S. Open and The Open Championship.

Over his illustrious career, Locke amassed 72 professional victories including four PGA Championships, The South African arrived in the U.S. for the first time in April 1947, well after the American Tour season had begun. Despite the late start, Locke dominated the American tour, winning five tournaments (including four in a five-week period), Locke is considered one of the greatest putters of all-time and coined the phrase, "You drive for show, but putt for dough."
 

 

 

Phil Mickelson (2005)

Mickelson is one of 17 players in the history of golf to win at least three of the four major championships. With his win at the 2021 PGA Championship, he became the oldest major winner in history at age 50. Cary Middlecoff (1955)

Cary "Doc" Middlecoff graduated as a dentist, but gave up his practice at age 26 to become a full-time Tour golfer. During the decade of the 1950s, Middlecoff won 28 titles, more than any other player during that span. Nick Price (1994)

The Zimbabwean golfer racked up 48 professional victories and three majors throughout his legendary career. By the mid-1990's, Price was regarded as the best player in the world and in 1994 he won two majors back-to-back, The Open and the PGA Championship. In 1993 and 1994, Price topped the PGA Tour money list setting a new earnings record each time and spent 43 weeks at number one in the Official World Golf Rankings.
 
 
 
 

Gene Sarazen (1930)

Sarazen was one of the world's top players in the 1920s and 1930s, and the winner of seven major championships. He is one of only five players (along with Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tiger Woods) to win the Career Grand Slam: U.S. Open (1922, 1932), PGA Championship (1922, 1923, 1933), The Open Championship (1932), and The Masters (1935). Sarazen is credited for designing and developing the modern sand wedge.
 
 
 
Vijay Singh (2004)

"The Big Fijian" compiled 66 professional wins and 3 major championships throughout his amazing career. Singh's 2004 campaign is considered one of the best seasons in the history of golf, when he won nine Tour titles and overtook Tiger Woods as the #1 golfer on the planet.

 

 

Harry Vardon (1899)

During his historic career, Vardon won 49 tournaments (including 7 majors) and 21 team events, the most titles won by a single player to that juncture in golf history. Between 1898 and 1899 Vardon played in 17 tournaments, winning 14 and coming 2nd in the other three. Vardon popularised the overlapping grip that bears his name, one still used by over 90 percent of golfers. He earned the nickname "The Stylist" due to his unique, fluid and elegant golf swing.
 
 
 
 

 Fuzzy Zoeller (1979)

Zoeller is one of three golfers to have won the Masters Tournament in his first appearance in the event. He won 19 professional events and 2 majors throughout his career. In 1985, Zoeller was the recipient of the Bob Jones Award, the highest honor given by the U.S. Golf Association in recognition of distinguished sportsmanship in golf. His care-free demeanor and interactions with the crowd made him a fan favorite.
